In the East Tyrol region there are 5 ski areas in all, 2 of which are located in Lienz itself, namely Zettersfeld and Hochstein, the World Cup venue.
Should you feel like exploring the other ski areas in the region you can reach them all easily by car (or take the ski shuttle) within three quarters of an hour at most.
The East Tyrol ski pass is valid not only in East Tyrol but also on the Möll Valley glacier and in the Ankogel region. The waiting times at the lifts in East Tyrol are still as short as ever.
